Yahoo’s getting into the mobile video sharing game as they recently acquired a start-up company Qwiki, which allows you to simply mix up your photos, video clips and music to create memorable short movies you can quickly share.
It’s actually way back 2010 at the TechCrunch Disrupt that the pioneers of Qwiki got an initial connection with Yahoo’s CEO Marissa Mayer where they won and Mayer plays as a judge. And right now, they’re on a sweet cruise together with around $50M acquisition cost, as approximately reported.
Just last month, we’ve been introduced to Vine with its 6-second looping clips shared thru Twitter and also with the swift match up of Facebook’s 15-second custom filtered-videos that is with Instagram. However, Qwiki may really get this video sharing game to the next level as quick as its name suggests.
Right now, Qwiki will stay available through iTunes App Store, downloadable on your iPhones, iPod Touch and iPads, and yes it’s for free.
