WhatsApp Amps Up its Android Version with Free Voice Calls

WhatsApp now comes up with a free voice call feature on its Android edition, making it at par with other international call and chat apps like Viber, Skype and WeChat.

You can check out its latest version on Google Play Store. With the update, you’ll get a cleaner UI having an added tab for Calls alongside the usual Chats and Contacts tab. Voice calling goes through your internet connection this time, instead of shifting you to your default android dialer.

WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton at Facebook’s F8 developers conference late last month also noted about the voice calling feature coming to its iOS version in a “couple of weeks.”
