Alcatel One Touch Philippines released a photo teaser a couple of days ago on their FB account, which exhibits the Alcatel One Touch Hero with a tag line, “It’s all about… doing more.”
The OT Hero is actually anticipated by local fans with much enthusiasm on Alcatel now hovering over the 6-inch phablet design, aside from offering both the single and dual SIM variants, plus the presence of the stylus. Samsung is dominating the smartphone-stylus combo with their Galaxy Note line up, aside from ASUS’ own variants, which supports both Android and Windows platform with digitizers, and the rest either catching up or contemplating on making their hardware and software technologies work together on the pen input as well.
One Touch Hero has a 6-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It actually has thin side bezels resulting to an over-all dimension measuring 158.5 x 80.6 x 8.5 mm, which could go well with a single hand operation. It also has twin cameras with 13MP on the rear, and 2MP facing front. Beneath the LCD display comes the quad-core MT6589 processor preset at 1.5GHz, linked with a PowerVR SGX544 graphics processor, and 2GB RAM.
Alcatel Hero comes pre-installed with Android JB 4.2.2, with 3400 mAh battery capacity. It has Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and 3G support. The single SIM variant has 8GB user memory, while the dual SIM has 16GB. Surprisingly, the teaser has a smaller phone besides the stylus that stands besides the Hero. It may seem like a Bluetooth dialer like the Cherry Mobile P1 Mini, which would makes sense instead of holding the 6-inch phone besides your ear. It certainly is a good add on if that will be confirmed.
Alcatel Philippines haven’t made any official local release or pricing, any more than the photo teaser. But, having it put on their official Facebook fan page is just enough for us to anticipate more news from our Hero.
