SKK Mobile releases its two quad-core Android smartphones, the GRIFFIN and the GRIFFIN 2 both priced at Php3,599 each.
The announcement seems like not the case of a predecessor-successor models as the monicker “2” would suggest. Actually, both almost have same specifications altogether from the display, to processor and the camera they were equipped with. But the design and aesthetics would actually mark the difference between the two, so its like a twin model release respective to its innards.
So the SKK Mobile GRIFFIN and GRIFFIN 2 have a 4-inch WVGA LCD display, equipped with a VGA front camera plus a 5MP rear shooter. Both are powered with a 1.3GHz quad core processor, paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM, which is expandable to up to 32GB via microSD.
Also both the GRIFFIN twin have dual SIM phone functionality, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. They come pre-installed with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as well. However, there is one slight thing they’re not in common besides the outward design. The GRIFFIN 2 has an IPS screen display and may play a little advantage on viewing angles on graphical interfaces.
The price tag at Php3,599 is also reasonable for the models, though both may have jumped up to a higher screen size or got at least 1GB of RAM to advance much further against the competition.
