Samsung has just launched its Wireless Olympic Works (WOW) App on Samsung App Store and Google Play, in which it offers real-time remote access, and even location-based information services on wherever and whatever’s happening in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, available for all Android users.

The WOW app is designed to accompany and update users worldwide on news and information regarding schedule of events, latest results, medal tally and standings, and even the latest Olympic records made during the game events. It’s also interactive where fans can boost their team countries and athletes on personalized forums and social network features.

The app also offers great visual detail on all 15 winter sports, like tutorials, rules of the games, equipment, and other trivial points that boost interest and excitement about the winter games. Not to mention, they also got visual guides on game venues and navigational services that will help the visitors hover around the Olympic grounds.

Samsung WOW services was first launched during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, providing mobile resources for the Olympic officials, attendees and fans globally. Though, Samsung’s first Olympic Games involvement would be as a local sponsor for the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games. Since then, Samsung extended their commitment as a Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Wireless Communications Equipment category.
