Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7 will get 4:3 aspect ratio and Exynos 7 SoC

Samsung has been reported to announce the successors to its Galaxy Tab S series, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 by next week.

These new Samsung premium tablet line-up has a bit of a make-over, which entails mainly on form factor, consequently causing display size reconfiguration and additionally highlighting on its sliminess. Now, both will have a 4:3 aspect ratio on its AMOLED display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution similar to Apple’s latest line-up, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2. It has also been reported that these new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2’s will also get extremely thin profiles with under 6mm.

Besides display and size, both Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 will also feature its own Exynos 7 chipset. Wi-Fi only and 4G-LTE versions on both models are also assumed to take place on spec configurations. Official announcements on specs, pricing and roll-out schedules are reportedly expected by next week, July 20, 2015.
