Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7 officially unveiled

Samsung just officially revealed its newest premium tablet line-up, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 and 8.0. And yes, it confirms the recent report about the launching having the leaked size-configuration on both tabs and the slim profile that is under 6mm thin found to be true.

Both models of the Galaxy Tab S2 share majority of the specifications from the 8-core processor, 3GB RAM-32GB/64GB ROM memory combo, QXGA resolution Super AMOLED display and the dual camera with 8MP rear sensor and the 2.1MP front facing cam. And practically, they differ with the screen size, battery capacities that is 5870mAh for the 9.7-inch and 4000mAh for the 8.0-inch. These variations also consequently translates to differing weights with at least 265g for the 8.0 Wi-Fi version, and 389g for the 9.7, also the Wi-Fi version.

Besides the slim design-build and powerful specs underneath, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will also have a finger print sensor placed on the home button. It will also have both LTE and Wi-Fi only version, with a 16GB or 32GB internal storage configurations. Galaxy Tab S2’s pricing is yet to be announced, though both size versions will roll out on global markets starting this August 2015.
