Samsung just unpacked another set of powerful Android slates, a 10.5-inch and an 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab S tablets, back in New York, USA, which boasts of stunning Super AMOLED displays with 2560 x 1600 screen resolution.
Both Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet sizes has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 on board clocked at 2.3GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and a choice of either a 16Gb or 32GB, though still expandable to up to 128GB of microSD. Actually both got Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box as well.
An 8MP main camera with LED Flash and a 2.1MP front-facing camera also comes with the two size versions. But obviously, they have different weight measure that is at 298g and 467g on the bigger one (LTE versions). Though, they have the same slim profile at 6.6mm thin. Battery capacity is rated at 4900 mAh for the 8.4”, and 7900 mAh for the 10.5”.
Design-wise, it got thinner bezels giving more screen real estate having the AMOLED display scream out in a very wide colour gamut. Home buttons got the fingerprint sensor, and the back panel made of the faux leather, which you can see with the Galaxy S5 as well.
Besides hardware, Samsung also cared to handover much of free stuff on consumable content like Marvel Unlimited Comic subscription that is good for 3 months, or even cloud storage with 50GB on Box and Dropbox for 6 months and 2 years subscription, respectively. Hancom Office is for free along with Evernote’s premium service for 1 year.
Multimedia category includes Real Player Cloud for 6 months of 100GB Gold subscription, LIVESPORT.TV for 6 months, and publications like The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The New York Times, The Washington Post that were at least 6 months on trial subscriptions.
Just take note though, that these gifts or freebies still depends on the area or region. Pricing’s not available yet and release date as well.
