Samsung Mobile Philippines finally released the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 locally, which comes with 3G data and full-phone functionality, powered with a Qualcomm quad core processor, priced at Php23,150.
Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Tab S in the US a couple of weeks ago, but it’s still not on schedule for release this month. And somehow that info may tie up the local buyers’ thinking to just wait, instead of buying this Galaxy Tab 4. Though technically, the new Galaxy Tab S puts the Galaxy Tab 4 to a mid-range Android tablet, wherein the former definitely has better specs and even pricier.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 features a 10.1-inch WXGA touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, though still upgradable to up to 64GB of microSD. Battery is rated at 6800 mAh that is powerful enough to last for a day.
Cameras are 3.15MP and 1.3MP on the rear and on the front, respectively. Connectivity is taken cared of with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and with 3G facility. Out of the box, Android 4.4.2 KitKat comes pre-installed, along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX.
