MyPhone sets to create a snowball effect on its RIO brand having the RIO Lite and now, the RIO FUN to succeed on the original Agua RIO. Well, Cherry Mobile has the FLARE and OMEGA, Starmobile has DIAMOND having the S and D series to bank on. MyPhone in turn, also has the OCEAN to complement with the RIO.
There’s so much to compare on their strategies, though what would be more interesting is how MyPhone’s doing with their own. The Agua RIO Fun actually has a dual-core processor rated at 1.3GHz, coupled with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of built-in storage. Pretty much toned-down from the two predecessor having a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4GB of built-in memory, and 1GB of RAM on the first RIO, and also 512MB RAM on RIO Lite. Although, all three runs on 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Now on the display, the original has 5-inch full HD, then goes down to 4.7-inch on the RIO Lite, but turns up to go back for a 5-inch screen size once again on RIO Fun with a 480 x 854 resolution. Dual camera’s still present, though it just has 3.2MP back camera and VGA front-facing. Another thing is that, it also carries dual SIM module, though without 3G data connectivity leaving a 2G facility only. What comes standard is the presence of Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth and GPS support. Plus, it got a 1800mAh battery capacity.
MyPhone RIO Fun may seem to be weak, but for an entry level it’s not at all. Not to reiterate more that it has a very affordable price tag of Php2,999. There are other brands, even global brands out there having the same MT6572 chipset on board with smaller display and weaker battery, but are actually pricier than RIO Fun. Besides, it got the style that amps up your day anytime with its interchangeable colorful back covers as well. This one will most probably put a clever smile on your face, too.
