Mozilla aims to release their first host smartphones, the Alcatel One Touch Fire and the ZTE Open, which will run their newly built Firefox OS.

Firefox OS or FxOS debuts as the newest mobile operating system and is positioned to run on web technologies with HTML5, Javascript, and other open Web standards, which will allow you to seamlessly tiptoe freely even over competing platforms.

The ZTE Open and the Alcatel One Touch Fire both comes with a 3.5” capacitive display, which runs on a 1.0 GHz processor with 256MB of RAM and features standard Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and A-GPS support. Below are the quick specs on both smartphones.

Both smartphones, the Alcatel OT Fire and ZTE Open are scheduled for release this July on European markets, and the Asian market in turn will also be included in the coming months that may end up soon here locally as well. However, pricing is still unavailable as of the moment for the Philippine market.
