MediaTek introduces its newest chipset family, the Helio P series in which the Helio P10 stands to be the first to dawn the market. It’s a high-value, high-performance SoC gunning for devices, which both demands a slim form factor and to sport flagship features at the same time.
The Helio P10 packs a 2GHz, True 8-core 64-bit Cortex-A53 CPU and a 700MHz, 2-Core 64-bit Mali-T860 GPU. Its premium features include the WorldMode LTE Cat-6 technology, which supports 2×20 carrier aggregation with data speeds of 300/50Mbps.
Multimedia would be another core advancement on the P10, putting in the world’s first TrueBright ISP engine for ultra-sensitive RWWB, and MiraVision 2.0 for rich and premium display experiences. Premium camera features also highlight the non-contact heart rate monitoring, in which it uses a Visual Processing Application via the smartphones’ video cam in taking a heart rate reading.
The entire Helio P series will actually pack quite powerful multimedia features with advance display technologies, innovative camera features, and dynamic high fidelity audio applications as well. As Jeffrey Ju, Senior VP of MediaTek puts it, “The P10 enables state-of-the-art mobile computing and multimedia features all while balancing performance and battery life.”
