Kata i3: A 5” Super HD Quad-Core Android Phone to be Launched Locally

Kata is a Hong Kong based tech company, which is into Android mobile phones and tablet PCs, and has been in the country for quite a while. This coming January 17 and 18, they’re about to launch their latest flagship Android smartphone, the Kata i3.

Kata i3 is an update on its i2 offering, which also sports a 5-inch display. Though the i3 will have a super HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. The i3 also got a lightweight design with a slimmer profile at 8.3mm thin.

On performance, it has a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor set at 1.3GHz, having Mali-400 graphics on board, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes built-in with a 16GB storage memory, though expandable to up to 32GB. The larger 2250 mAh battery capacity is definitely a plus.

Kata i3 will run on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 out of the box. It has dual SIM capability with HSPA+ data, plus Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It’s equipped with a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 13MP autofocus rear camera.

Kata i3 is priced at Php8,499 on pre-order. Its official launching will be at Kata Store, Robinsons Forum by January 17, and at the Kata Store, Starmall EDSA by January 18, from 4pm – 5pm.
