Globe Telecoms just offered Personal Blackberry Plans to officially set Blackberry Storm on foot in the Philippines. Much like their iPhone postpaid plans don’t you think? Smart Communications will still have their hold of this Blackberry Storm expected this June as leaked, though.
Research in Motion (RIM), the Blackberry Storm maker, sets an onslaught towards the touchscreen user interface arena with iPhone 3G as (we may say) their prime archrival in the market. However, you can think of a sibling rivalry, too when under the Globe umbrella. Smart could have been aggressive on tapping the market with the use of Blackberry, especially if it seeks 3G market dominance. But who knows what now Smart have under its sleeves.
Globe’s Personal BlackBerry Plans are add-on postpaid plans offering consumable data. It comes with Plan 700 for 5 MB of data (approximately 55 emails/day), Plan 850 for 8 MB of data (approximately 90 emails/day) and Plan 1100 for 10 MB of data (approximately 115 emails/day). Number of emails per day is based on estimated emails using a BlackBerry handset. Regular mobile Internet browsing rates of P0.15 per KB apply in excess of the plan.
As for Smart, it’s said to be available by June. However, pricing details and pre-orders can be available via respective Relationship Managers and Account Managers of the Corporate Business and Small and Medium Enterprise Groups. Sounds like they’re targeting companies first here and they’ll be offering free Blackberry Storm handsets as a start with the Plan 3500.

Parang mas maganda nga talaga ito dito sa Pilipinas kesa sa iPhone na napaka over-rated at overpriced dito sa Pilipinas.

Yehey. Some Blackberry TFT-LCD screen-Fit are being manufactured in Clark, Philippines. I remember when I was still working there as QA Engineer. They are requiring us high Cpk for the Brightness, Contrast , RGB. Very good quality. Blackberry celphone units produced by RIM (Research IN Motion) of Canada.

Mate, I use the blackberry in Australia, usually you are locked in a 24 month contract, if you agree with that, then you can have it for free.

Maybe you meant “Blackberry Storm now hits the Philippines…”? I tried to read some of your posts and frankly got a headache trying to make sense of what you were saying. If you suck at grammar, please utilize the grammar check function of your word processor. Also, use the right words and don’t just stick words that don’t make sense into your sentences just because you think they sound cool.
Even if you insist on using the word “hail”, then maybe you should have written “The Philippines hails the arrival of the new Blackberry Storm…”
“But who knows what now Smart have under its sleeves.” <— ??????!!!!!
“But who knows what Smart has under its sleeves now.”
