The newest and thinnest MacBook Apple has ever made has gone for pre-order online globally, and evidently it lands on Apple Store PH just in time to accept orders starting at P64,990. However, the Apple Watch remains yet to be seen and may leave fans a bit more wanting.
The 12-inch MacBook comes in Silver, Gold and Space Gray with two base models. The P64,990 unit has the 256GB PCIe-based flash storage and 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M CPU combo, while the P79,990 has a 512GB onboard storage and 1.2GHz dual core CPU combination. Though, a pre-order upgrade option for both models can also get you a 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core M with Turbo Boost up to 2.9GHz for an additional P12,500, instead. Without an upgrade, both models still have an 8GB RAM and an Intel HD Graphics 5300 GPU onboard.
If you’re wondering if you really have to live with the fact that Apple chose to remove all the ports and leave you with just one USB-C port, then worry no more. Again there’s an option for you to get the right accessories, the USB-C to USB Adapter for Php990, the USB-C Digital AV Multipart Adapter or the USB-C VGA Multipart Adapter for Php3,990.
Now the Apple Watch’s not yet in Apple Store PH just because only eight countries has been included for its initial availability, like the US, of course and UK. Pre-orders will last for two weeks, but delivery schedules posted are quickly slipping way towards July or might even be later.
As of the moment, the new MacBooks on Apple PH online store are currently scheduled for delivery in 3-4 weeks time.
